Travel opportunities

Australian ‘outgoing’ trainees

Spread your wings and have the time of your life living and working in another country – and also take the opportunity to learn more about agriculture in a global environment.

Young Australians wishing to embark on an AgriVenture experience are able to select from a variety of destinations and work experiences.

Destinations:

  • Denmark
  • Sweden
  • Norway
  • Germany
  • France
  • The Netherlands
  • The United Kingdom
  • Canada
  • The USA

Within these countries you are able to select from a variety of farm programs in different regions. Programs include:

  • cropping – grain, cotton
  • livestock – sheep, cattle, pigs, game
  • equine – horses
  • horticulture – orchards, flowers, viticulture, forestry

An AgriVenture experience allows you to have fun, meet new people, forge new relationships and also gain experience and knowledge living and working in a different country, using different farming methods.

Whether you are a student just completing VCE, and looking to take a gap year, or a student currently studying an agricultural degree, or even a young person already working on a farm in Australia – AgriVenture can enhance your knowledge and education.

AgriVenture will advise you on the best time to travel and work in these countries. We also co-ordinate the host family you will live and work with. AgriVenture organises all work permits and visas you need to live and work in your selected country.
